NSW: Teens apprehended after pursuit, crash - police
NSW police have arrested two 15-year-old boys .. after using road spikes to stop a stolen car.
Officers from Grafton Highway Patrol failed to pull over a Falcon on the Pacific Highway
at Cowper about 8.45 (AEST) this morning.
They followed the car south along the Pacific Highway .. before laying road spikes
at McPhillips Creek.
Police say the Ford drove over the spikes .. which deflated one of its tyres .. but
the driver didn't stop.
The pursuit was called off .. but the Falcon kept going until it collided with a Mitsubishi
Magna travelling in the opposite direction.
Officers found the Falcon south of Grafton .. and arrested the two boys after a brief
chase through bush.
