FED: Dodgy doctors jeopardising Medicare - Roxon
Federal Health Minister NICOLA ROXON says rorting of the Medicare system by some "dodgy"
doctors is undermining the entire system.
Ms ROXON says while rorting isn't widespread .. she's vowing to come down hard on those
doctors who do the wrong thing.
A total of 27 doctors have been referred to the Professional Services Review last financial
year .. and there's indications that figure will grow to at least 60 cases this year.
